Singer. Songwriter. Storyteller.
I only started writing songs recently. I must have written more than 50 of them by now, and I'm currently working with a set list of 15 or so. Many are stories I picked up somewhere. In 2015, I borrowed a friend’s ukulele and started playing some covers. A year and a half later, I started writing my own songs. I play a Magic Fluke tenor ukulele strung with a low-G, or a Kala archtop tenor tuned up to low-A/D/F#/B and capoed appropriately to add a higher-harmony track. Fishbone Rivers suggested that I add a harmonica. I'm not sure I fit into any particular genre, but labels of indie folk, singer-songwriter, and americana sound about right.
The U.S. Constitution guarantees certain enumerated rights to ALL PEOPLE (not just citizens). When unidentified federal officers wearing face masks put on intimidating shows of force in the midst of parents taking their kids to school, something is wrong.
Breaking up is never easy, and your feelings don't just go away. But are you going to dwell on the past, or accept the present and move on?
My first distribution single was my song Colorado 9. In the first two months, it got over 3,500 streams on Spotify -- thanks friends!
Besides my streaming singles, I gig at open mics around town and perform many other songs of mine. Here is a brief sample:
...And here's me doing "Colorado 9" at Meadiocrity Mead Brewery in San Marcos, California (one of my favorite places to gig).
I live in Encinitas, California USA, a small beach town in north San Diego County. This photo is of me in front of our town's iconic glass mosaic. I wrote a song about it. Maybe someday I will record it so you can hear it.
The best thing about putting my music out there is all the other terrific musicians that I meet! Let's get in contact if you agree.
